Why Materialism is Baloney

• "Consciousness" is a generalization of the only thing we directly encounter: "experience".

• "Matter" is inferred from regularities within experience.

• Physics describes relations, structure, and behaviour—not necessarily what reality is in itself.

• The "hard problem" asks why any physical process should be accompanied by subjective experience at all.

• Perhaps this isn't a problem to solve, but an indication that we've begun with the wrong metaphysical assumption.

• "What if" "consciousness" is fundamental, and "matter" is how consciousness appears?

• The world could be more like a shared dream than a machine—not unreal, but mental in nature...

• Individual "minds" may be localized or dissociated expressions of a broader field of consciousness ¯_(ツ)_/¯
